As you are aware, effective March 31, 2020 CCR will no longer receive funding to deliver the Ontario Autism Program. Thank you for your ongoing patience as we transition our services accordingly. We are aware of your serious concern that your family may not have access to the services that you need. It is therefore with mixed emotions that I am announcing that Lisa Henderson, Regional Director has resigned from her position to join the team at the City of Greater Sudbury. Like Lisa, many of our team members have no choice but to look for other positions and make choices that are in the best interest of their families. When members of our team leave CCR it affects our ability to provide the same level of service to families.
As we await recommendations from the Ontario government’s Autism Advisory Panel we will continue to do our best to fulfill all service obligations to your family while transforming the organization to deliver fee for service options in September.
To prepare for March 2020 we will also continue to make difficult decisions to downsize the current structure. We are committed to continuing our practice of proactively communicating with our team and families as we wait to learn more about the future of Autism services in Ontario.
On behalf of the Board and CCR team I want to thank Lisa for her leadership and ongoing support especially over the last twelve months. Words cannot express my gratitude. It has been an absolute privilege to have Lisa as our colleague. She will be missed but we are also very excited for what comes next in her career. Lisa’s last day with CCR will be Friday, July 19, 2019. I invite you to connect with Lisa over the next few days to wish her well.
