Transitional Youth Groups
What are Transitional Youth Groups?
Through our Transitional Youth Groups, we deliver high-quality group programming to provide youth with pre-employment skills, social skills and life skills. Groupsare designed to support each youth to make the transition into adulthood, and provide opportunities to build connections in the community. There are 3 distinct group sessions, including:
Adaptive Skills Group
We work with youth to increase their independence, by developing important life skills in the home and community.
Social Skills Group
We work with youth to develop important social skills related to regulating emotions, relationship building, and navigating social difficulties. The focus is on leisure activities that are exciting and stimulating. Youth participants have a chance to socialize, build friendships, and have fun!
We work with youth to teach them leadership and pre-employment skills. We focus primarily on teaching key functional skills to support youth in accessing placements, future job and volunteer opportunities.

Cost per participant vary depending on the group selected.
Can my family benefit from Transitional Youth Groups?
We currently offer Transitional Youth Groupsin Sudbury.Transitional Youth Servicesare designedfor families with children and youth, aged 15 to 18, who have a confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Services are individualized based on the unique needs and strengths of each child or youth.
We strive to offer high-quality and accessible services to children, youth, families and professionals throughout Northern Ontario. We have a wide network of community partners, and will do our best to provide supports in your community, at a location most convenient for you and your family. If this service currently is not available in your community, we are happy to support you with locating additional services and supports.
