Group Services

What are Group Services?

We offer a wide range of group services to meet the unique needs of children, youth and families.  Our group services are ideal for caregivers, children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, and their siblings.  Our Group Services include:

Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS)

The PEERS program enables teens with the skills required to successfully acquire and maintain friendships.  There are separate parent and teen sessions that meet at the same time for 90 minutes over a 14-week period.

Children’s Friendship Training

Children’s Friendship Training is an evidence-based social skills group ideal for children aged 7- 11 years who want to learn ways to make and keep friends. During each session, children learn important social skills and have opportunities to practice these skills during socialization activities. Caregivers attend simultaneous sessions and gain skills to support their child to make and keep friends by helping to expand their child’s social network.

Through our Zones Groups, we teach self-regulation by categorizing all the different ways we feel, and also focus on the states of alertness we experience.  The Zones framework provides strategies to teach students to become more aware of and independent in controlling their emotions and impulses, manage their sensory needs, and improve their ability to problem solve conflicts.

What is the cost for Group Services?

Cost per participant vary depending on the group selected.
